Happy Fall Y’all

COVID restrictions have made recess a "different" experience. Some positives that have come out of all of the restrictions that I have noticed is that students are using their imaginations more, having fun with nature, and forming closer relationships with their classmates because we have to stay together as a class in our recess/activity break zones. I've watched them play baseball games fairly with an imaginary baseball. It is really quite comical to witness them yell "out!" or "safe!" when there is not an actual ball. I've seen wonderful sand art that the students are creating on the baseball diamond sand. I've seen tag with "leaf bombs" as the students call them. Restrictions aside, the students and I are enjoying the fresh air, nice weather, and the chance for a mask break.
